- The Nashville Symphony invites you to the Schermerhorn Symphony Center THIS Saturday, February 10, for Music & Magic: A Sensory Friendly Family Concert. The concert starts at 11 am, with pre-concert activities beginning at 10 am. This magical morning of music for listeners of all ages features The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, the Overture to The Magic Flute, “Flight to Neverland” and more. It’s an ideal outing for families and young children! This sensory friendly concert is also designed to accommodate listeners with autism and other developmental delays that cause sensory sensitivities. Tickets are selling quickly and start at just $23! - The Tim Tebow Foundation‘s “Night to Shine” will be hosted by Cross Point Church on February 9th! Night to Shine is a prom for anyone with special needs ages 14 and up. There’s no cost, just show up from 6-9 pm: https://www.crosspoint.tv/night-to-shine/
- As a part of Project Play Nolensville’s Grand Opening, they are eager to serve the community with a complimentary parents’ night out for special needs children and their siblings on Tuesday, February 13th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM! Use this opportunity for an early Valentine’s date or enjoy a restful evening. Hosted and chaperoned by our amazing pediatric occupational and speech therapists, we welcome you to drop off the kids while we play games in our sensory gym and provide a pizza dinner! - Kidsville at the Parthenon is a great FREE way to experience the Parthenon, the centerpiece of Centennial Park, Nashville’s premier urban park. It is is a FREE weekly program (02/10/2018 – 11:00am to 11:45am, 02/17/2018 – 11:00am to 11:45am, 02/24/2018 – 11:00am to 11:45am) that combines storytelling, educational activities, arts & crafts, musicians and special guests & more! Kidsville is free for families of children ages 12 and younger. Come hear about the Greek origins of the Olympics, then make your own Olympic torch.
