Meet Kelly Roos, a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst and Autism ETC’s Clinical Director – East. Kelly joined Autism ETC in 2016, bringing with her a strong background in child development and a passion for supporting children with special needs. She earned her undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Development from Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio, followed by a Master’s Degree in Behavior Analysis and Special Education from Vanderbilt University.
Reflecting on her career journey, Kelly shared, “I have always had a passion for working with kids. Every job I’ve ever had involved children. In high school, I volunteered with a program that helped children and teens with disabilities build independence and friendships. I continued working with that program during college summers, and that experience fueled my desire to make a difference. I wanted to help children learn to communicate, which led me to discover ABA therapy. ABA gives kids the tools to communicate and develop socially significant skills.”
After completing her graduate studies and passing her board exam, Kelly began her career as a BCBA. She recalled: “I reached out to Rhonda Manous, Executive Director at Autism ETC, for an interview, and I was hired to implement client programs and supervise behavior technicians. Over time, I transitioned into supervisory roles and later became Clinical Manager for our Nashville clinic, first located on Holt Road and later on Music Valley Drive. In 2022, I stepped into my current role as Clinical Director for our East region, overseeing all Tennessee clinics.”
Favorite Moments at Autism ETC: When asked about her most rewarding experiences, Kelly smiled: “There are so many! I’m very passionate about staff training. In my current role, I’ve had the privilege of watching so many staff members fall in love with ABA—growing from RBTs to Lead RBTs, then to BCBAs, and even into leadership roles. Another favorite moment is when a client discovers the power of communication—whether that’s pointing, using picture cards, or saying their first word. Watching that progress is incredible. I also love supporting parents as they learn to work with their child and celebrate their child’s success. At Autism ETC, we want families to know they have a strong network of support. We truly care about their kiddo and celebrate every milestone together.”
A Glimpse into Life Outside Work: Since joining Autism ETC, Kelly has celebrated many personal milestones as well. She married her husband, Adam, two years ago, and the couple recently moved to Franklin, Tennessee. Their daughter, Olivia, now 11 months old, keeps them on their toes as she explores the world with endless energy.
